Byrnes
is a San Diego based real estate professional. He has assisted and directed Catholic non-profits since 1998. In addition to FCDF, he is currently on the Board of San Diego Catholic Radio and Agnus Dei Foundation. Byrnes and Tammy are expecting  their fifth child in October 2012.

 

 
Travis King
Treasurer

Travis received  his B.A. in Political Science, International  Relations  from the University of California, San Diego and his MBA from Harvard Business School. Travis is currently the President of St. Michael's Abbey Foundation. He has 18 years experience in investment banking and private equity. Travis and his wife Jenny have seven children and they live in Encinitas, California.


Kenneth Wood
 Secretary

Ken is a Senior Vice President and Private Client Wealth Advisor for a major trust company.  He graduated from UCLA Law School and previously practiced law for many years in Rancho Santa Fe in the areas of Trusts and Estates and Real Estate Law.  He also has experience in corporate transactions and nonprofit law.



Fred Clark
 

Fred obtained his J.D. form the University of California, Berkeley and his M.B.A. from Harvard University. He is a philanthropist who serves on the Board of Directors of various nonprofit organizations including the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS), the Institute of Religion and Public Life (First Things Magazine), the Patient’s Rights Council, Thomas More College of Liberal Arts, and the Witherspoon Institute. He is married to Peggy Clark and they have two children.


Maggie Gallagher

Maggie is a nationally syndicated columnist, the author of four books on marriage and the co-founder of the National Organization for Marriage


 Billie Jorgensen

Billie is a retired registered nutritionist and has been active in many non- profit organizations around the country including three in Southern California: Adoption Guild, San Diego Center for Children, and Kids Aid. She is married to Mark Jorgensen, has two married sons and four grandchildren.


 Claire Reiss

Claire is the current Owner and President of Reisung Enterprises, Inc., a commercial real estate development company which specializes in build- to-suit commercial properties especially for high tech and bio tec companies. She is the widow of biotech entrepreneur  Robert Edward Reiss.  A woman of faith, she carries on Bob's passion for creating jobs and saving lives.

Claire was born and raised in Gui Zhou, China. After migrating to the U.S, she studied Medical Technology.  She is an avid philanthropist in many fields. 


Mike Sweeney
 

Mike is a recently retired Major League Baseball player of 16 years; 13 with the Kansas City Royals.  Mike also played for the Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners, and Philadelphia Phillies. Mike is a 5 time American League All-Star who was named the 2003 and 2004 Good Guy in Sports by the Sporting News. On March 25, 2011, Sweeney retired from baseball.

Mike now works as a studio analyst on the MLB Network. Mike and his wife Shara have been actively involved with a number of pro-life and pro-family charitable organizations including The Mike Sweeney Family Foundation. He will host the annual Mike Sweeney Catholic Baseball Camp at Cathedral Catholic High School. Mike and Shara live with their four children in Rancho Santa Fe, California.
